The old strap covering the wires will have to be cut off. Take it slow and easy with scissors, so you don't cut a wire. Also the old strap will be taped to the wires behind the door panel. After you've removed the old strap this one Zips up over the wires and takes 1 min or less to do. Removing the old strap takes approximately 20-25 min, but there are YouTube videos to show the proper way to help you.
