Reviews for QuadraTop Gen II Complete Soft Top with Tinted Windows for 87-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ
This top looks great on my 90 TJ! My husband and I installed this three days ago, took us about 5.5 hours. Took us about 30 minutes to get the windshield part of the top to stay lined up and even. Also, the window frame front post bottomed out in the hole. My husband had to cut it down with a cutoff wheel to make it work. While we had the top install instructions pulled up, we noticed on the site under the specs tab there is some misinformation. First thing you read is "flipback sunroof", this is not even close to accurate.
I'm am thrilled it was one more project that the husband and I could do together! Fits wonderful now and for the first time in 2.5 years that I don't have water puddled on my front floor. Honestly hope more people get this top! I have seen many reviews on this, not every install incurs the same trials. Please don't be discouraged, keep all issues in mind and you will do fine!
I was very happy to finally get what my jeep needed since it was a puzzle about our old top. The staff was very helpful but I was very non jeep savvy. The ONLY piece that did not come with our frame was the frame part that sits on top of the half doors, not the frame for the windows but the piece of metal that holds the weather strip for the windows. The top went on fine, fits very good and I can finally see out of the windows all around. Overall, I am very happy with the looks and performance of this top.
Installed this top on my 1987 YJ - took a few hours to finish and I ended up cutting off about 3/4 inch from the last spreader bar ends as the top was ripping. This stopped the rip and the whole thing fits great now. Only exception to the fit is now the doors hit the rear window panels when the door is shut (on both sides). Material is high quality and the hardware and fit otherwise was fine. Instructions were clear and complete and all pieces were included with a few extras. Overall it is a great, inexpensive option for a new top, with hardware, and tinted windows.
Whoever designed this needs a pay cut. Put together this past week and the soft top frame cut my soft top…
top is very tight for my 1989 Jeep Wrangler. Hardware was easy to get on, however the top is about 2 inches to small. The top is on, however I'am forced to leave the side windows unzipped, hopefully in time the sun will stretch it out a little bit more.
The fabric was hard to get on. The zipper piped off of one of the doors first thing. I was not impressed with the quality as advertised
The top was awesome, but after two replacement door frames and skins we had to go with smittybilt doors and skins because the doors they kept sending would not work, and they charged us for the new doors over 200.00 on top of what we paid for the top now we have over 800.00 in the top! I would suggest going with best top or smittybilt top
Just purchased and paid to have a local business install for me. Installation was very difficult and still cannot get the upper doors to for correctly . Called quadratec and they emailed me back and gave suggestions. My back zipper also busted apart and I contacted quadertec and they still havnt gotten back with me.
