The plastic part of the housing is held by four wedges that are supposed to compress and spring back out when you seat the housing. The sad part is, that the "springiness" of the plastic wedges is insufficient to seat the wedges completely (they don't pop back out enough to grip and hold). The wedges on the bottom cannot be reached to seat them, the top two wedges can be seated if the flap is open. I stuffed some foam in the small cavity behind the two bottom wedges to add some "spring" and get them to seat properly. The design could benefit from some steel spring clips (or screws) rather than plastic clips for sure.

I ordered the smaller cover but it still seems to be loose fitting. The quality of the cover looks great but just wish the fit was tighter for the stock spare.

Appearance.

Easy installation, looks good when fished. Could be even better if it had a hole to attach gas cap teather. The seal at the top of the unit is does not sit as snugly against the body as I would like it - even though no daylight was visible - which means nothing as water can get into the smallest cracks.

The worst fitting factory made piece I ever installed, If I had not thrown the box away I would return it, the fit is terrible, it won't seat unless you hold it in place or let a gas pump hang from it when filling up, don't waste your money on this Mopar part.
