This review is for the 15” model. Very happy with it, it’s a nice looking visual upgrade from the stock antenna. I see a few ppl complaining about poor reception with these but I haven’t noticed a difference - reception is no better or no worse. Installation is easy, just follow the directions. Trickiest part was removing the stock base - it was stubborn, it would not “pry off with a flathead screwdriver” per the instructions. Instead I had to pull it off with a pair of vice grips which completely mangled it (not a big deal, I was going to throw it out anyway). There are plenty of YT videos where the installer tries to carefully pry it off but ends up using pliers to yank it off. But otherwise it’s a very straightforward install. I love the way it looks and I highly recommend it especially if you’re looking for a cheap/simple/easy visual upgrade.

This unit was able to reduce the cosmetic loo of the factory antenna, and the only drawback was that i lsot a small (maybe 10%) amount of functionality; however this was anticipated, as the unit is much smaller.

The stubby was super easy to install, but I haven't installed the base yet. I am cautious about damaging the paint. I might try it after I finish my other installs. It looks like you need to be uber-careful to get it done right....
