Reviews for Teraflex 1355210 2.5" Budget Boost & Shock Adapters for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
NICE
Instructions were vague, and videos online didn't match up apples to apples. Aside from that once installed, everything is great. Unlike other reviews, ride improved but also added new tires.
2nd time i've had this BB on a JK. Great kit. Included everything you need to get lifted. Stock ride feels the same.
Looks great. Pretty simple install. After almost a year with this setup I feel the ride is a bit stiff. I spoke with Teraflex about this and they suggested I loosen all the control arm bolts while the jeep is sitting on the ground, physically push and shake the Jeep to help it settle in, then tighten everything back up. Still need to do that, but it kinda makes sense to me.
So far so good!
I installed this lift on my 2016 JK in December of 2017. I used the factory wheels with 1 3/4” spacers & 305/70/18 Pathfinders. It looks great and on only rubs backing up & turning left at full lock. It’s been on for 5 1/2 years now. First problem last week, both rear 2” coil spring bushing/spacers disintegrated sitting in the garage. I ordered the replacement, it came as a single, ( $102) not a pair????? Really….. It should have lasted longer at that price and now I’m waiting for the other one.
I've had this lift for two years now. I kept the stock 17" rubi wheels and put on 315/70R/17 tires with 2.75" aluminum wheel spacers. The ride is terrible. My jeep had death wobble. Actually, that was due to unbalanced tires that wore uneven. However, after I fixed that, I got a Teraflex steering stabilizer to help with the ride - it did nothing. It looks good, but I can't wait to replace it.
Good lift for the price. I've been trying to track down an odd suspension knocking sound in the rear of the Jeep since right after the install. I have been loosening and re-tightening all hardware and still no idea what is hitting what. According to multiple forums, it seems to be a common thing.
I bought this kit 2 years ago and thought it would ease up over time, but I was wrong. I was told it wouldn't affect my ride quality, however that is COMPLETELY UNTRUE!
If you go over a small bump it feels like an earthquake has gone off on the inside of your jeep. It gives you the height you need but stiffens out the ride way too much. If you drive on perfectly manicured roads (like Florida) then this is the kit for you. If you drive on roads that have pot holes, bumps, small ditches, and dirt then stay away.
