Reviews for Quadratec Billet Aluminum Fuel Door for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Looks good and easily installed. A little rusting in the bolts after a few days. Replacing with stainless soon.
I've had this for a couple of weeks maybe. It works, does what it's supposed to do. I was a little annoyed trying to remove the backing from the 3M tape. It is cut exactly to the size of the tape, meaning there is no overhang to grip and pull. I called Quadratec and was told to use a push pin to stab it and pull it off. Yeah, because I have push pins laying around. Ended up using a small nail. Perhaps Quadratec should update the installation instructions to include the push pin--or figure out a way to put a pull tab on the tape. Lastly, like a previous reviewer said, the mounting screws have begun to show signs of rust. I worry the lock will soon start to rust, too. For $60, I expected something that would not eventually make my Jeep look like trash. Who wants to drive around with rusty screws in plain view? I might see if I can find some chrome screw cap covers. Yet more money invested. Since it's only been 2 weeks, maybe Quadratec can do me a solid and provide some for free?
Covers the locking gas cap and keeps the area clean. The mounting screws have begun to show signs of rust, unfortunately.
Nice product and the door has a magnet for closure which is a nice feature. I wish it had black, not silver etail
No complaints.
stickers hard to peel off for instalation but works great
Looks and works great if you want a locking gas cover. The bolts on the outside do get a little rusty so put an anti-rust on it
A little pricey but nice addition.
A solid piece. Easy to install. Nicely made, good quality lock. Six chrome bolts are somewhat inferior in appearance and were replaced, chrome lock was stripped to base metal and was repainted flat black. Finishing touch was laser engraved fuel tank capacity info similar to my Cessna's Shaw Aero Fuel Cap )))))
The door is well made and easy to install. Only complaint is the 6 screws on the outer ring have started rusting after 6 months. I'm not sure why they would put screws that rust with an aluminum product.
