Reviews for MasterTop Zip Down Windstopper for 80-06 Jeep CJ, Wrangler YJ & TJ
I bought this at the beginning of the summer. It is now almost winter so I have been enjoying it for about 3 months or so. It does exactly what it is made for. I can drive with my top shut ( back windows are out) and my door uppers on and I get very little wind in the cabin. I have long hair and running that way, I have no need for a hat. When I take the uppers off, I get wind, but not from the back like one would if there was no windbreaker. I can also run with my uppers off and sun roof open and get some wind but not bad at all. I love the windbreaker. Only thing I didn't like is the zipper pulls scratch the plastic window. Just my OCD taking affect with that though. LOL Still is a great product. :D
We bought this product for my girlfriend's 1993 YJ 2.5. The Mastertop brand seems fairly new on the market, but we really liked the zip down window feature shown on this windbreaker. We ordered this product based on the zip down feature of the window. The box that this windbreaker comes in is a very nicely produced box. I know I'm spending time talking about the product box, but it really is one of the nicest product boxes I've seen from a printing standpoint. The Mastertop windbreaker installed in about 2 beers. It could easily be installed in 10 minutes, but it's Saturday and I wanted to enjoy the process. I am impressed with this product. The fabric quality seems very nice for a basic black vinyl windbreaker. I imagine that with the application of some Ragg Topp vinyl protectant this product will be even better in appearance and durability. This product fits well and I'm impressed with the build quality. All of the stitching seems well done and sturdy. We stretched our windbreaker out in the laundry room overnight prior to installing it today. The window is very clear and appears to be a pressed rather than rolled window. My girlfriend drove to the store after I installed the windbreaker (along with a ?Quadratop Bimini Plus top, separate review) and she is very impressed with the Mastertop windbreaker. It definitely cuts down on the wind buffeting that happens in the cab. We are giving this product five stars at this point.

Does the job keeping the a/c within the enclosure.
Nice piece but they should have added quick release tie downs.
It doesn't stop as much wind as I had hoped with fairly large gaps around the edges, and it is a little hard to get to the bottom straps, but it does work. You can definitely tell a difference with and without it.
The product is pretty well made, and exactly what I would expect for a MasterTop product. The problem is that, for me, it just doesn't work. I've had it on the Jeep a few times, and its position in the cab is its major hangup. It mounts to the B-pillar section of the roll cage, and that places it entirely too far forward for it to be comfortable to me. If you're a shorter person, and drive with the seat pushed up a bit and sitting fairly straight up, this is a great product. But for a 5'10" guy that sits back a bit, the placement just doesn't cut it. Otherwise, everything about the screen is great. Just not for my layout.
Poor design…… When used with the Tonneau cover there is 8 to 10in gap around the winstoper and the roll bar. The zipper connection on the back of stopper is high up the back and in order for it to connect properly to the cover in needs to be lowered a considerable amount to connect correctly. The overall size is minimal; the fact that it was not designed to completely fill the space between the roll bars, with adequate material is poor design.
