Reviews for MasterTop ShadeMaker Mesh Bimini Top Plus for 92-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ & TJ
BUY IT!! This should be standard equipment on all Wranglers! Super easy install, had it installed and going down the road in 15 minutes. Makes the drive on a hot sunny day much more enjoyable!
Installed the MasterTop ShadeMaker Bimini Plus on my '04 Jeep TJ, X. Fit was great & easy to install. Quadratec had the top in stock and shipping was free.
Love it
Muy rapido y facil
I haven't used it as yet. Due to the pandemic, we have been staying close to home and I didn't remove the hard tope this summer.
However, it looks really nice in the pictures both online and in the catalogue .
Works well and adds to appearance
The shade maker (when applied correctly) does what it's supposed to do. I love the fact that it keeps me cooler while driving on days when the sun is beating down on me. It stays snug and fit on drives through out the city. HOWEVER, when driving on the freeway, the flap does get a little loose on the back end over the rear seats. That can be fixed by tightening the rear ties. It's a minor inconvenience, but it's there. I'd like to see MasterTop (or any other soft top manufacturer for that matter) devise a shade maker top with the integrity of a regular bikini top that fits in the windshield channel in the front and has some sort of heavy vinyl strip in the back to prevent looseness while driving. Perhaps something a little more sturdy, because the shade maker is a good idea... it just needs a little more execution to be a perfect idea!
Screen will not stay tight in the back and flaps bad on the highway.
Looks great, does what it's supposed to do. I really enjoy the mesh. I have had no problems with it flapping in the wind or making any noise. I chose this brand because I thought the cinch straps would keep it tighter. However, they tend to loosen a little with use and I have to tighten them occasionally. The excess strap flaps around and front ones get caught in door window .I bought one of the other brands (of similar price) for another jeep I am working on that uses bungees and I think I like it better.
I purchased the Shademaker plus. I have a 99 Wrangler and was excited for the easy install. Summers in the south get really hot! The installation was very easy however on the straps for the back there wasn't an easy way to wrap around the rollbar. Once I figured it out, I took the Jeep out and within minutes the ShadeMaker was flapping in the wind and basically laying on the back seat passengers. I have tightened it three times but still loosens in the breeze.
