Nice kit. Hose construction is more flexible then traditional rubber hoses, eases install of the lower hose to the block.

Kit had several flaws. Top radiator hose had a leak in the bend area going to the thermostat housing. Thermostat housing provided was not for the 2.5 L 1989 Wrangler YJ ... one provided was the exact opposite of the existing one which I reused since it was not cracked or rusted. Luckily the existing top hose was decent and could be reused in place of the one provided however I lost some radiator fluid and time in the switch. Also, the leak in the hose could not be predetermined because the leak only appeared when under pressure.

The hoses are great and the thermostat housing was nice, it’s a paper gasket though after installation I lost a 4qts or coolant. Other than that it’s a good kit. 2006 Jeep wrangler

Thermostat housing was garbage. I bought the kit for a CJ with a 258 as part of a cooling system "tune up." My original thermostat housing was pretty crusty, especially after the Jeep sat for 15 years. I figured this would be the easiest fix. Bolted it on, which turned out to be a chore since the casting didn't have enough clearance for a socket on the lower nut. Got past that, everything else seemed ok, ran the jeep and had a coolant leak at the upper bolt. Removed and inspected. The casting for the heater hose had a giant hole into the upper mounting bolt hole. But the upper and lower radiator hoses were fine, I just have to reuse my old housing or find another one somewhere else.

Like Daniel H. said, the thermostat housing small hose fitting is angled almost opposite of OEM. We had to re-use our old housing. This isn't an acceptable issue- we didn't "really" need the new housing, but for someone who does, this would be very frustrating.

The heater hose attachment on the thermostat housing is angled wrong for my 1990 YJ with a 2.5L. So I had to reuse my old housing. Otherwise, the hoses and clamps were great.
