Easy install

Fit my 76 CJ5 well even without a Rugged Ridge bumper, easy install. I put it under my bumperettes. It doesn't have a high capacity but neither does the Jeep. It's perfect for something along the lines of a M416 or other lightweight trailer.

I am impressed with the solid, heavy-duty construction and very nice powder-coat finish. Installation was mostly straightforward, although, due to imperfect alignment of the lower set of holes in my Jeep's rear crossmember as compared to the mounting plates of the hitch, I had to elongate the crossmember's holes by reaming with a drill bit after tightening the top bolts. Looks great on the jeep - I did not have a rear bumper before and I like how this hitch looks and the strength it likely adds to the rear-end. My primary use will be for bike and luggage racks, but I have no doubt I could pull trailers within specified weight limits. I mounted a Draw-Tite 3-bike rack in the receiver, then jumped up and down on it (the rack has pretty large moment-arm), and I saw no give in the hitch or my rear crossmember. Very solid.
