Reviews for Kentrol Door Hinge Liners for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Makes door close much smoother.
If you have had issues with your doors not coming off easily or with the hinges feeling overly stiff, this is your answer. The factory insert gets worn over time but these liners will cure your problem like magic! My only complaint (and it is minor) is that the liners can inch out of the hinge when I take off the doors. As long as I notice, I just tap them back in but I'd hate to lose one!
Easy to install, doors flux tight into place
Fit great and work perfectly. Highly recommend!!
These are excellent and a good value. Put these in an 08 jku with some corrosion and doors were a bit stiff. Now they swing and remove like a dream.
You will have some prep to do if your old bushings are toasted.
Great upgrade to my stock corroded liners. Old ones bang out easily with supplied tool. New ones slid right in with minimal pressure. Now my doors slide right off. No more fighting and possibly droping my doors when taking off. A cheap fix to prevent a costly door repair. Took about an hour for both doors. Banging old ones out ate up most of that time.
These worked perfectly. Not sure how I lived without them. The doors slide right out of the hinge when I'm removing, but still tight enough to keep the doors aligned in place. Excellent product, worth every penny!!!
Product works well. Doors can now be taken off with less effort. Need to watch the hinge liners to make certain they are all accounted for after door removal. I used a bit of lithium grease on the back of them to add a bit of grab to the hinge.
My Jeep is 2 years old and busting out the old bushings, even with the supplied tool, was a nightmare which resulted in a good amount of chipped paint on the hinges. My advice is to swap these out as soon as you purchase a new Wrangler. Also the Derlin flanges chipped in a couple spots when setting the door in place. However, removal of the doors is now exponentially easier.
I love these. I've had them on for a couple of months and had no issues taking the doors on and off. My only problem is when mirrors are put into the hinge, after tightening the mirror in place the top of the bushing decided to tear off so when the doors were put back on, the bushing slid through the hinge and then tore. Probably going to have to go back to the aluminum bushings or buy different mirrors.
