Reviews for Teraflex Falcon Nexus EF 2.2 Fast Adjust Steering Stabilizer for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Will do miracles to the road feedback or any small imbalance through your steering wheel, be careful to the position when installed, can block steering during a turn at a moment you don’t want to be blocked so check all flex and steer possibilities with a jack either side one at a time otherwise you will damage it or crash.
Good reviews and Seems as if it will help with my issues.
Fits up tight and out of the way even on my non-lifted jeep Rubicon with larger tires.
It completely removed the very vague and bouncy feel from my steering wheel when driving over the frost heaved roads where I live. The build quality is awesome as it should be considering the price. I'm glad I bought it. It just works.
no death wobble here
Easy to install. As previously stated, the hardest part was removing the old stabilizer mount. Instructions ask you to bend/spread the mount off. I just used an angle grinder and cut it off just as easily. Be prepared to torque the new track bar bolt to 220 ft pounds. I had to use a 6 point deep impact socket and 3 inch extension and turned the steering wheel to the left in order to get enough room and leverage. Overall I drive on the medium setting and it helped significantly with steering wandering due to road imperfections. Be prepared for a heavier steering feel.
Was fairly simple to install, with the hardest part being the removal of the stock stabilizer mounting bracket. Steering feel was great with 35" tires, and as another reviewer noted, firm is nice on the highway and eliminates "wandering" in the lane, in particular when surfaces are uneven, grooved or there are troughs in the lanes that would typically pull the steering around before. Also, reduced steering wheel feedback when hitting bumps and potholes when compared to stock stabilizer. Medium setting is great for just driving around town, and the return to center is good with this setting. What I like best is the ease and which you can just reach under the front of the jeep and change the steering feel as needed. This was a great upgrade.
Very quick shipping looks life a way better part than the double steer pro comp
Why didn't I do this sooner. After beating the heck out of my Jeep in the Florida swamp, I moved to Colorado. The roads here are, well, interesting to say the least. The Jeep was all over and steering felt loose.
Installed the steering stabilizer and it was if the angles sang and the harps played. Just an awesome piece of equipment. I should've done this a couple years ago.
Side note; be careful tightening your clamshell button head bolts. I'm a little heavy handed and snapped one of them. ACE Hardware saved the day. Although, as rock solid as this stabilizer is, I would've driven with three bolts and the two set screws for years.
amazing. as soon as i installed this part i ran the jeep to 95 mph on a road that had a surface much like the moon. i set it to firm and the wheel was rock steady and ready for more. My OME SS from my aev kit I installed in December was rusted out and pitted. I was unhappy with how much the jeep wandered and the condition the SS was in after only 3-4 months of winter use.
But here's what everyone wants to know
soft - steers like stock with tighter wheel feel
Medium - Feels very composed and more precise much like the feeling in our Grand Cherokee overland. keeps jeep dead straight with no wandering. Also the return to center feature on this is excellent. before the wheel would sling back now it falls back straight gradually and consistent much like any driver would want.
Firm - Really tight. return to center no longer really works here ( at least with 35" KM2 tires) requires driver input to bring jeep back to straight. Ran high speed... the jeep was dead straight and did not budge. This setting would not be ideal for daily use. however if your taking long highway trip... use it the jeep will keep itself very composed at high speed travel with a more confident driver feel.
Awesome! I replaced an OME stabilizer with the falcon nexus ef 2.2 and the difference is dramatic. Even at soft setting, steering is much firmer and there is no wandering when driving straight. Overall steering response and feel are much improved. This is a must for lifted jks with larger tires.
