Removed my tire carrier and put it in its place. Easy to do and looks great.

I purchased several Smittybilt products in the past and chose this table from the selection because of the quality of Smittybilt. This shelf is rugged and built to last. I did have some fitment issues, but after a call to Smittybilt, they helped me through it so now the shelf works and looks great.

I didn't do the install so I don't know about how that is, but the table is very solid and looks great! Awesome product!

This product as stated in previous reviews is a nightmare to install. The unexpected supports in the tailgate make this near impossible to install precisely. If you are looking to buy this product have a plan on bringing your tailgate to a shop that has the tools to drill and mount the tailgate table correctly. Also, the instructions require a 17/32 drill bit which was impossible to find unless you order it online. This product will never be installed on my jeep and all I have is a hole drilled into my tailgate.

I am disappointed. Installation is nightmare: I have located the table and when I started drilling I found some extra support behind the door inner panel which caused slip of the drill and misalignment of the mounting holes. The lock of the table did not fit and I had to machine a little. Supporting arms do not fit perfectly and have to be pushed each time to open and secure the table. Beside installation, this table is way to heavy for what it is and not well designed. Cup holders are disappointing, caps do not stand straight; brackets that hold caps from the bottom hit items inside the trunk when trunk is fully loaded, these should be rather soft fabric holders than heavy steel. Molle holes do not fit the molle bags and accessories bought from the same company. Table has no limiting wire or rope so when someone unaware, like kids, open the table it can be fully opened and hit the person. I am not happy and think that table needs significant redesign...

I thought that the other reviewer's comment that the table was built incorrectly was a fluke so I bought it, and now I have a table that was built incorrectly. Just like his, the side arms are the incorrect length and don't line up to have the tabs fit the slots (this is how the table is supported). Pathetic. I've always been happy with Smittybilt, but they should be embarrassed to have made something this poorly.

Be aware that you have to fit this on your JK in the configuration you want, swinging down or up it can't do both.The weight of this is 10.1 kg'so, about 22 or 23 lbs. It's dam heavy for what it is. Pity it's not aluminum. You get the typical Smittybilt plans that don't really help. I found the downloaded version off this site better, clear and in color. The support arms are not the correct length. They will not clip into place as the protrude out past the actual table and the male and female connection is about 20 millimeters out. Really disappointed with the product, I hope to hear from smittybilt soon as I have informed them of the poor fit. I hope they send out new arms that will fit. Happy with all the great support from Quadratec as I live in New Zealand and we have limited JK options. Their service has been second to none.
