These are not just plastic lens covers. They are a polycarbonate and very sturdy/strong. Quadratec was the only company that had clear. I also have the yellow covers. A trick to get them on & off: the slot that is below the tabs where it snaps on to the light is for a flat blade screwdriver (or similar option). Push up gently and you can pull that side free, then do the other side and they pop right off. Otherwise, they are super secure and will not come off easily.

Amber covers work great! Let a lot of the light through. Snap in place and fit snugly. As another poster mentioned, looks like I'll need a screwdriver to get them off. Looking forward to using the lights with the amber covers in the rain and snow.

I love these lights, and I have the smoke covers for them, really awesome.

You will definitely want these covers for your D-SS lights. The lips around the light catch TONS of bugs and mud and are hard to keep clean.

They also clip on VERY TIGHT and are hard to get off so get familiar with flossing again.

Easy on but will require screw driver or other tool to get off. Covers light area well and is not tinted so much as to severely impact amount of light getting through.
