Reviews for Rugged Ridge Windshield CB Radio Mount for 03-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ
Works good. But I mounted my China made GMRS radio on it.
This is a good holder for a smaller CB. I don't know much about CB radios, I have the smallest CB I could have purchased. The install was pretty easy but you do have to drill and cut some of your plastic on your back visor off. I would recommend getting a elbow connection for your antenna attachment. Not a lot of room for your cords. This is exactly what I wanted and when I four wheel it's in a perfect spot for me.
Bought this with the Xbox and antenna. It's great.
I haven't installed this yet but everything else I bought from Quadratec has worked out pretty good nobody else carried anything like this so I'm sure it's going to be just like everything else and work fine for the purpose it's designed for
Instructions say “no drilling required”. Step 1. Drill out the rivets on the footman loop. lol. When I was installing, one of the well nuts pushed back into my windshield frame. Bleep, bleep! Can I get replacement hardware?
While this mount puts the CB up and out of the way the rubber well nuts are useless.
DO NOT drill out rivets with a 3/8” bit. Instead get a quality metal rivnut insert and drill out to required dive for that rivnut.
The rubber ones provided allow foR excessive bouncing of the CB and will pull out. After using rivnuts (or nut serts) Mount is solid and holds up well to trail use.
Not 100% thrilled at this mount, don’t expect the footman loop to be used after installation even though that’s what the instructions say. Expect additional drilling and configuring if going with a full sized CB. What should be a one hour job took me almost three. Allow for extra time.
