I like how the license plate on my taligate instead of being on my bumper.

Simple with bright led. You can leave off the big flat plate for a minimalistic backside.

Great product! My spare was too heavy for the tailgate and the cost of a new tire carrier of tailgate support was not what I wanted right now, so I opted to remove the spare and relocate the license plate. After looking around, most kits did not come with the lights. This was the only one that had it all. It took about 2 hours to install (including several interruptions) and was fairly easy. The instructions are okay but you can find videos of the install on YouTube that make it much easier. I have had it on for two weeks and love the look and function, with the exception of the hole plugs. Once you remove everything, there are three holes. This kit includes plugs for these holes but one has already come out and the other two may not last much longer. Other than that small issue, I love it.

Overall, I really like this product. The installation was a pain only because the wiring that comes with this seems very weak and I didn't want this coming disconnected on the trails so I had to get some extra wiring to make the connections stronger. Also, if you don't have a stock tire carrier you will need to make a trip to the hardware store. It requires the eight screws that screw to the back. Other than those two items it's great. The break light isn't too bright but what do you expect from such a small light. Kentrol has a step by step video on YouTube too which is helpful

Product is good. When the license plate light strip separates and it will, if it’s past the year warranty period, be prepared to replace it full price or with something else.

Installation was straight forward, easily accomplished in a couple hours. Unfortunately it left a hole in the back of my tailgate. It comes with plastic grommets which push into the holes left behind, but the large hole one was loose enough that I lost it somewhere on my first drive. Would be a 4-5 star product if it wasn't for this.

Love the look of it. Install was easy. Been driving with it about a year. Just got pulled over and the cop threatened to rip it off my jeep if he sees the lights on again. I'm in MD so be careful. Need to find a fix for it quick now.

I really like the way this looks on the Jeep. I gave three stars because the light that illuminates the license plate emits a blueish tint rather than the standard white light. I was pulled over because of this, and now have to remove it after splicing it into my existing wire harnesses. Great item for people who live somewhere that the cops have better things to do than check the color spectrum of your lights >:{
