Reviews for Draw-Tite 76104 Class III 2" Receiver Hitch for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
I replaced the stock receiver with this. My oversized tire on the tailgate did not give me room to attach a cargo rack. This receiver sticks out about 3-4 inches further than my stock receiver. Drove from central Texas to northern New Mexico with the cargo rack and no problems. It was very easy to attach. Took about 20 minutes to remove the old receiver and replace with this.
This was about as easy as could be! Did NOT have to remove the bumper on my 2018 Wranger JK, and did NOT have to lower the exhaust. You will have to be patient getting the holes to line up, as they're spot-on (meaning a snug fit); the first couple of bolts were hardest to align (did the outside ones first) but after that it was quick as can be! Did it all on my back in the garage in about 15 minutes; you'll need the appropriate socket wrench (which I happened to have because the bolt heads are the same size as my bike-rack unit). It does have a 2" opening, so to use with a 1.25" trailer mount you'll need an adapter. Also the unit did not come with a hitch cover/plug; so you should consider one of those too. It doesn't stick out past the spare tire, so no worries about backing into something with it; just PERFECT! A great addition to my new Jeep!
I installed this hitch on my '17 Sahara. It was fairly simple and I did not have to lower the exhaust. I was able to maneuver the bolts above the muffler and into the holds. The whole job took about 30 minutes and I just laid on the floor under my Jeep. This hitch does protrude about 5 inches from the bumper so make sure that is what you're looking for. I then installed a Superbumper so that my spare tire and bumper are protected from drivers that don't know how to park. Great look and very useful!
Nice piece. Mounted relatively easy.
Sticks out just enough to use standard hitch accessories without the need for extensions or removing the tire. Install is simple, just need a torque wrench.
This is a great hitch!! Just installed on my new 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I would advise using a torque wrench when you are finished to make sure your bolts are nice and tight. Everything bolted up easy and fit like it should. Can't beat the quality and the price!!!
