Reviews for Skyjacker Hydro 7000 Front Shock Absorber for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Quality and durability
Just installed these over the weekend and took my 08 wrangler. I took about an hour drive between highways and some not so smooth back roads. These made such a difference! They keep great traction on the roads and it rides smoother than any Jeep I have ever owned. I barely feel the bumps I drive over at highway speeds and it doesn't feel like the dash is going to fall into my lap. Going to be buying the rears this week and replacing them too.
Excellent shocks that replaced the OEM's on my 2010 Wrangler Sport. Immediate improvement in handling. Highly recommend!
Love these shocks. This is the second jeep I've put these in. Awesome shock
Easy
This appears to be a good kit. The bushings are urethane. There were no instructions which even if you dont need are helpful and should be included. These fit very well and are pretty easy to install. Metric hardware - a 1/2" ratchet, metric box wrenches and a ratcheting box-end wrench for the top-nut are what you need. A tap and die set is helpful to clean threads and chase nuts. It took me a couple of hours to install, but I was using a lift so it could take longer if you are on the ground. The original Mopar shocks were still functional but severely rusted.
So far so good. Easy install.
I think I got a bad set did my lift w new shocks took to get alignment mechanic said they look new but have no pressure could bounce my front end up and down with one hand. Trying to find out if quadratec warranties or have try get ahold of skyjacker probably gonna be a pain
