Put this in a long time ago, and it works great. Haven’t had a single complaint about it. Bought a different brand for my new JL and I’m not as happy with it. I’ll take that one out and put in a Daystar as soon as they make one for the JL. It looks like it’s from the factory.

Place for the phone and glasses

If you get this model you'll need to line up the holes yourself before drilling. Not sure why a mounting attachment couldn't be made except that they were concerned about cost. There are enough old jeep drivers like me that could use this piece since I'm not big on car computers and touch screens. Hope the part is tweaked at some point.

The panel is great, but the phone holder will not hold any modern day phone. If I had my cell phone from 1990's...it might have worked. I tried 3 different phones (Samsung, HTC, Iphone) that my family has and none are small enough to fit. If you want this to hold your phone or GPS....don't bother and just buy the base panel. Disappointing...

You will need to re-use the retaining clips from the stock panel, which feels super cheap when they could've included them for few extra cents in manufacturing costs. The phone mount needs to be drilled and the drilling template included is a joke, it was of by about 1/8". The included screw for mount was also not the right size, I ended up having a metric screw that fit, don't know the size through.

Outside of the few problems it works fine, holds your phone or tablet and doesn't look half bad.
