Reviews for Rugged Ridge 1-1303 Front Bump Stop Kit 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
excellent
Installed these in a 2010 Jeep JKU. The installation was fairly straightforward though I expected a much bigger project. The hardest part was seating the bump stop without it going in crooked. I supported the truck with a stand on the frame behind the front tire, disconnected the sway bar, removed the tire and jacked under the lower control arm bracket on the axle. At full droop, using a pry bar, I was able to open up the spring enough to get the BS in. Then I stacked small squares of 1x3 inside the spring up to the BS loosely aligned in the hole. Then I jacked up the car and used the weight of the vehicle to hold the BS in the seat. I sprayed WD40 up around it and down through the hole in the spring mount so it dribbled down INTO the BS cup from above. Then I jumped on the bumper. For the most part this seated the BS. Then I would lower the jack, remove some wood and if the BS was crooked but partially seated I used a pry bar to finish seating it all the way. They are very hard and not pliable. Good news is they should outlast the truck.
