Sanded them and painted them black, fit great, no modifying at all. Looks great and the main reason for purchase was to keep the tailgate from swinging too far and breaking the taillight. Works perfect, and will never have another broken taillight again!!!! This is a must buy for JK owners!!!

So good. I had to replace my 2012 JK hinges due to their inability to stop the tailgate from opening too far. These are well made, have quality hardware, and stop the tailgate perfectly. Install was pretty easy. Highly recommended.

Hardware bolts are not the correct thread. Will need to buy new bolts or use old ones.
