Reviews for Rock Hard 4X4 RH4006 License Plate Relocation Bracket with ORO PlateLITE for 76-18 Jeep CJ and Wrangler YJ, TJ & JK
Ok product. Could be better quality metal.
If you’re worried about the wiring aspect of the install, don’t. Get a good ratchet stripper or some quick splice connectors and you’ll be done in an hour tops. Instructions are dummy proof. The hardest part was lifting my spare. It doesn’t come with hardware for mounting the plate, but you can get that for five bucks anywhere. The LEDs are WAY brighter at night than you’d think when you open the box and see the tiny things (3 white plate lights/3 red brake lights). Bracket is cheap powder coated steel, but it’ll hold up. I’ll repaint it if it starts to rust. Overall, a fantastic mod, great price and awesome look. If you want a no-frills relocation kit that’ll keep your rig legal, this is a fine choice.
The connection to the plug for the third light is a thinner gage than the OE and fits loose
Super ez install which took about an hour and this is definitely the best option on the market. Though the bracket makes my license plate crooked on my tire carrier and the whole kit doesn't come with any hardware... Why? Also, operating my tailgate is now awkward as ever.
The light that comes with this kit is the only reason I didn't give only one star. It's a good tail light. The bracket, on the other hand, is of poor quality. The license plate sits crooked, the powder-coating provided little protection from rust and consequently chipped away within a few months. Obviously this won't apply to anyone with wider wheels and tires but if you have stock wheels the plate sits nearly 6 inches away from the tire.
Says this is for several models. Yet instructions for wiring are only JK. my TJ doesn’t have wiring as directions state and I cannot figure out how to connect.
