Reviews for Classic Tube JE1043 Pre-Formed Stainless Steel Brake Line Kit for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ with Dana 35 Rear Axle, Drum Brakes & without ABS
perfect fit on my 97 Jeep TJ
The manufacture and product is USA. Plus the product looks quality made. Will find more out when I install in vehicle
I must say these are very very nice and high quality. I only needed the two lines for the rear axle on my 97 tj. These lines were a little long which is good in my opinion. Would have gotten five stars if I didn’t have to use words my mom would send me to church for when installing. My tip is hook the lines up in the center of the axle first and then connect to the drum brakes.
These worked well on my '98 Sahara, with the exception of the main line for the rear drums. This was shaped exactly backward, and I had to persuade it to the correct shape. All lines were a little too long, which is just fine as you can work around that. If the main line had been even somewhat close to the correct shape, I would have given 5 stars.
Not all the bends were in the right spot, especially from the frame to the rear axle brake line, which was way off and not aimed the right direction. Other then that, the quality seems good.
All in all a good product. Some of the bends did not fit exactly like they should so I had to re-work them a little. It is a horrible job to install these things, especially the front passenger side. Once installed though they are sweet.
Product was more difficult than I thought it would be to install, front brake line is one continuous piece which made it very difficult to install. Other than that great product!!!
I put these on my jeep 4 years ago and the fit was fine. Unfortunately, I went to replace my rear brake cylinders today and the nuts on both sides have completely disintegrated thus I have to replace the whole set of rear lines again. The lines may be stainless (and still look new), but the nuts definitely are not.
Fittings are not stainless mine lines are fine but several fittings completely rotted out
