Reviews for Rugged Ridge Premium Reclining Bucket Seat for 76-02 Jeep CJ, Wrangler YJ & TJ
Already had a couple of these and they were great seats.
I bought these with the intention of leaving them exposed to the Arizona elements in a ragtop YJ. I am satisfied with the quality and durability for the price. Bolted right up to my lower hardware. Reclining function is adequate.
Great choice for a rugged trail rig.
High quality, easy installation. Perfect!
Couldn't be happier. Installed in 10 mins and very comfortable. So happy that today I purchased the back seat.
Easy install in an '82 CJ. Fit well and going back to the original nutmeg makes the interior lighten up a lot. Seats are a little stiff compared to the ones I pulled out, but they were at least 20 years old, and I imagine the new ones will break in.
The color is great. Quality is fair (considering where they were made). Bolted rite up. Why 2 stars? Great seat if you weigh about 125lbs (I'm 170) and about 5'2" (I'm 5'8"). Very, very firm (OK, they are really hard!). Less than 1 inch clearance from leg to steering wheel. Set about 3-5 inches higher, which does allow you to see over the hood, but if your windshield is tinted, you'll need to remove half of that tint. I overshot the return date by 10 days and Quadratec would not consider return, even though driver side seat only used 1 day. Yes, my bad on that. I was told they'd contact me on that. They lied. Their bad. I wouldn't waste your bucks.
I'm 6'2" and 240lbs. This is not a comfortable seat.
Height: Like others have said - these seats are tall. The top of my head is right at the roll bar level.
Width: the seat is narrow and my hips are resting on the bolsters. this will lead to fatigue and back problems. The seat-back is also too narrow for my frame.
Mounting the seats was fairly simple. My old seats used 5/16x1 bolts with a thread count of 18. These fit the new seats just fine (kind of sorry that a $250 seat doesn't come with 4 bolts).
I should also note that these reclining seats are too wide to actually recline in my '89 YJ. They are jammed up against the roll bars.
These seat are quite narrow and uncomfortable, they seem durable but stitching is off in places.
These seats are just cheap all the way around, highly uncomfortable and I wouldn't recommend
Absolutely the most uncomfortable seats I have experienced. After installing the drivers seat it was too tall and too far forward, with my legs almost hitting the steering wheel. I had to drill new holes to put the seat back an inch and a half, so that I could could at least
drive the Jeep. Don’t wast your money....
