Reviews for Rugged Ridge 11650.01 Rear Corner Guards for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ without Bushwacker Flares
Great look got the front ones a couple months ago so now ot all matches!
Perfect fit and the 3M tape was really good too
So these are plastic. Yes in my ignorance I thought light aluminum. Every person that sees them taps to see what they are made of and then makes the comment, you bought plastic? They seem to be as let down as I am about it. The fit was terrible. I had to cut the edges off about 40 percent of them to fit. By cutting away so much material I removed almost all the 3m tape that would hold them on. So then had to revert to applying glue to them and utilizing the tail lights to hold them in place. They are at a great price and that of course is what caught my attention. So for the money they worked out and as long as you do not touch them they appear to be a metal part.
These rear corner guards have a great look to them and they look like they are well made but, they do not fit that well. After dry fitting them several times and having to trim the bottoms of both corners, they still don't fit that well. I had to re drill several holes in order to put the fuel filler back on. Also had to re drill holes for the tail lights on the drivers side. Would NOT purchase these again in the future.
Packed fine and no damage on arrival. However, I have stock fender flares and these did not line up easy. I was able to make some modifications to the fuel door side, but he passenger door side is another story. These stop short of the rear fender flares on the passenger side. I had to modify these to fit on both sides. Caution when buying/installing. Other than that, these are pretty easy to install just got to modify a little.
Absolute garbage. Drivers side wheel well cut isn’t deep enough to get it to line up over fuel door holes. No point buying “fitted” items if I have to cut them down. Even if I cut it, the fuel door side won’t ever line up
