Reviews for Energy Suspension 1 1/8" Sway Bar Bushings for 87-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ
Great product and fit correctly. A few things to note:
1. Removing the sway bar can be a pain. On the drivers side, one of the bolts that hold the bar to the chassis is blocked by the track bar bolt. You will need to remove the track bar bolt to get to the sway bar bolt (not a big deal especially since most people get rid of the track bar completely.)
2. The mushroom bolt pins that hold the sway bar links to the sway bar are a pain in the butt to remove and re-install. To remove you have 2 choices: take the whole bar off (which include removing the pitman arm on the steering linkage) and use a mallet to pound the bolt out after removing the castle nut or use a pry bar to pop the bolt out. It is a friction seated bolt so it can be stubborn. To reinstall, you either need a press to re-seat it prior to putting the bar back in or you can use vise grips to hold the mushroom head while you torque the castle nut into place.
Over all it was not too bad. Mine was particularly stubborn on my 93 YJ (original bushings) so it took about 3 hours to take it all apart, remove the track bar and reassemble (sans track bar). Lots of penetrating fluid and a torch are your friend here.
awesome
EASY INSTALL LOOKS GREAT!
Nice improvement over original worn out bushings, can feel the difference on my 95 Wrangler. A bit more work than I expected, mostly due to heavily rusted mounting hardware!
Fast shipping and easy install. Makes all my bushings red.
