The exposed portion(when installed) of this lock is made from stainless steel
1986 CJ7--Glove Box Lock. I have a bad one but it is keyed--which I don't want. The one you have pictured has a push button which is fine, but it needs some sort of bracket to attach it. I can send you a pic of mine if that will help.
Unfortunately the lock cylinder housing is no longer available. If you cannot find one to salvage as replacement and would like to convert to this push button style, you will have to use the door 11125.01, for non-locking gloveboxes.
This is a lock correct? Comes with a key?
This lock keeps the glove box closed but does not lock with a key for security. It is a simple push button lock.
is this just the lock cylinder or does it also come with the clip to secure it to the door?
