Reviews for Crown Automotive 8997109CJ8 Factory Style Replacement Fender Flare Set for 81-85 Jeep CJ Scrambler
First of all...thank you to everyone for leaving your feedback for the fender flares! Secondly, shame on whoever was responsible for using this forum to market their business.....a 100% rating ya right.
As everyone before me stated the front flares fit great. Unfortunaltey the rears not so much. However, my cj-8 had already been modified to accept YJ fender flares on the rear. New flares on the rear would look nice and shoud be an easy install. Wrong! the rear flarws in the kit mention YJ style....not YJ fender flares. Love it when marketing guys spin words. Long story short used my existing YJ fender flares..Anyone looking for as great deal on YJ "styleZ" rear fender flares?
Front flare great fit & match original very satisfied with Front
Rear Flares - totally a different story, Very disappointing! I understood there would be modification in order to install & was ok with that. So after cut inner flange off both ends & middle section to get flare to where it’s close the overall look does not match up to my expectations! 82 CJ-8 these are not a good look!
Front great matchup.
Quadratec, please stop selling this set until Crown gets their pattern correct. As previous reviews stated, the fronts are pretty darn good, but the rears are just not for a CJ, at all, not even close. I severely regret not reading the reviews before I purchased this set. I'm already painted/finished and have to throw these rear flares out and lose the time and money...don't make the same mistake I did....DO NOT BUY THIS SET
front one fit perfect the rear one do not fit at all wrong mold for scrambler
The front flares fit perfect. The rear flares are from a YJ and are not anywhere close to fitting. The worst kit I’ve ever seen. Had to order another set of rear flares from another manufacturer. Whoever came up with this idea of putting YJ flares on a scrambler are absolutely clueless. It’s like trying to put a TJ front fender on a CJ. It’s not gonna work
