Reviews for Quadratec TJ Dome Light Switch for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited
All in all, not a bad product, would buy it again. 4 stars was for the interference with glove box. Like other have said, the glovebox pushes the posts that you push into the fuse plug off to the side. The switch will still work but I don't care to have my wires smashed. I know, I know, pull the fuse or its a jeep thing. Point is I like things to fit right and after 7 years of pulling the fuse, I'm ready to just flip a switch. I can rework the post to fit appropriately.
This item is an easy install and works very well. The only thing that would make it better is if the fuse holder used the same mini-fuse format and the plugs were 90 degree angles. The wires will bump into the glovebox as you try to close it, but it does work and the glovebox will close.
Nice thing to have when the doors are off but when I flip the switch and put the doors back on my interior lights flicker on and off. Very annoying.
Great addition. One of the connectors that plugs into the fuse box fell off but I as able to recrimp it.
Having issues with the “plug” in place of the fuse. It is not maintaining contact with the normal vibrations of a Wrangler.
I only give this 3 stars because something went wrong with my switch as soon as it was install and it doesnt fully rock to one side or the other. It does work however. This is super easy to install either way, and a must have for anybody who removes their jeep doors.
The pins used to take the place of the fuse fit very loosely in the fuse box. I am hoping that they stay attached. There should be a better way of hooking up to the fuse box, but otherwise, this is a much better way of controlling the dome lights than just pulling out the fuse.
Connectors won't stay in the fuse slots
Good concept but didn't really work out for me. The two blade terminals were very loose when plugged into the fuse box and merely routing the wire caused them to fall out. This could be improved by using a fuse tap instead of the wonky separate ill fitting blades.
