Quality of this top was excellent, thought the hardware and fabric used in the kit was top notch and really cleaned up my old cj5. That alone made it worth the money imho. This was my first top install on a CJ5 from complete scratch and I couldn’t be happier! (1980 Jeep CJ5 - 360 5.9L)

This is my second soft top install on this CJ5. Bestop makes a great product!. I went with a Bestop bikini top for the past 6 yrs after pulling a tree down on my jeep during a DIY tree job, destrouing the top, bending the bows and crushing my windshield frame and glass, but that's another story....
First, The sun is your friend and warm weather will save you a bunch of profanity and wrestling with the new top.
If your not handy and you're doing the full replace a top, expect to take a bit more time than the stated 3 hours, especially of you have aftermarket window hinges or replacement (made in Philippians) body tub.
The drilling and attaching rails and windshield frames is pretty straight forward.
Proper door fit was the most challenging. You will find yourself doing a good bit of tweaking hinge holes, lower hinges and upper door half post length where they insert in to the lower half as well as winshield position from the stated 67-1/2 inch starting point windshield measurement to get the door fit correct.
It's a great product, very well made, just stick with it. Anything that you want to come out right is worth the time.

It was very difficult to put on should be a level 10 difficult. A 4 hour job turned into a 2 day job. Followed the directions step by step some steps where very confusing. But after getting it on. We love it.

Make sure you do not accidentally order this top in error on a Sunday. Their system will not update to where you can cancel the order. If you contact them when they open at 9am on Monday, they cannot cancel the order as they will say its "already in shipping". Now I have to wait for delivery, send it back, wait for a refund, all to order a CJ7 top from another vendor.
