Reviews for Banks Power 51327 Revolver Header for 91-99 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ, Cherokee XJ & Comanche MJ with 4.0L
I've used this header on a few Jeeps and it's awesome. Replaces stock manifold without any modification. Don't waste time and money with cheap replacement manifolds that don't last or fit.
Good price, 409 stainless steel and good ratings
Got this to go along with 2” walker down pipe, Flowmaster super 10 and Magna flow high flow cat and it sounds great.
Fantastic fit, looks and sounds great.
Looks good haven't put on motor yet.
Installed great; looks great! The "pickle" at the end looks great on the inside; looks like one cylinder empties to the middle, and the other empties in the 5 pipes surrounding the center one. I'm happy with the purchase. Of note, I had problems finding a high quality front pipe as the Walker and Crown replacements have the ripple marks from the bending process. I found a higher quality Stainless Steel front pipe that was all mandrel bent and fits great. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-Steel-Exhaust-Front-Pipe-fits-1996-1999-Jeep-Cherokee-4-0L-/174147556494
Love it recommend highly.
Replaced a cracked head with this Banks Power and absolutely love the results. All the power is in my XJ 4.0 and it sounds great too with the rest of the Banks Power exhaust. Highly recommened!
Perfecrt fit and definitely a bit quicker and torque-ier when adding throttle from idle. Jeep is just a bit quicker off the line and with less throttle - ditto for passing/hill-climbing when I drop down a gear. Old 4.0L engine feels pretty darn fresh with this new exhaust!
Everything fit great on my 1994 YJ. Looks good, sounds a lot better than all the leaks from the many times repaired factory header. Didn’t notice any power increases, but I had just recently done a gear swap and hadn’t had time to drive it that much before the header installation. I’m sure it will be much better than the stock part would have been when I swap in a stroker. But even now I can enjoy the lack of noise from removing the leaky stock part. Also I no longer have to worry about the exhaust fume ingestion while using the heater in the winter.
