Reviews for Vertically Driven Products KoolBreez™ Full Roll Bar Top for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ
I bought this back in 2011. It has held up great, but is now showing signs of wear. I’m sure going 80 MPH down the highway for years hasn’t helped. It has been an excellent product and I am getting ready to buy another.
Love it
Easy install with straps. Looks good. Good fit on the Jeep. Not much in the way of instructions, but most of it is self explanatory. Feeding the front edge through the header channel that has to be purchased separately is pretty difficult, mostly because the channel on the header bar is so tight. Don't know that it is any fault of the KoolBreez shade.
Looks and performs great very easy to install
The inserts on the front that you connect with the channel windshield comes out any speed over 40. And once you get off the highway it flops backwards. I’ve tried zip ties and it still does it, trashy product for the $50 I paid for
I had the shorter/bikini top since 2016 which I was very happy with but the straps started failing so... I saw the full top on sale so I thought I’d give it a try.
First, the online pic is bad. This is a single color, single piece product.
Unfortunately, it goes down hill from there. The design is cheaper. They cut down from 5 straps to 3 which leaves the install sloppy looking, not taunt. Also the center strap (shorter and harder to buckle in) is sewn in backwards. With all of the tension on this strap, if this lasts a year I’ll be surprised. Also, also, the side straps do not put enough tension on the front corners. The windshield corners are loose with side straps fully tightened. Note I have an older mounting bracket so in might have changed...
Been pretty happy with VDP stuff, but this is a disappointment.
