Reviews for OMIX Front Fender for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited

I'm confused by the good reviews for these fenders. I received a driver side that was "acceptable" and only required minor work - the front cheek roll was a bit askew, but only viewable from certain angles. I have however had quite bad luck with the passenger side. One came with the hood hold down brackets welded 1/2" in the wrong position, such that when the hold down was installed in the proper place, it would not have concealed the incorrect holes - they would have needed to be weld filled. The replacement came in even worse shape - the holes were in the right place this time, but it came dented in 2 places, and had a VERY weak spot weld that broke loose, and caused a bend in the front sheet metal during (I'm guessing) some kind of shipping trauma.

These are poorly made at best, and you are playing roulette when ordering. I would pay more for a quality built piece, but alas, none exist. Quadratec, to their credit, has been great shipping replacements.
