Reviews for Kentrol Stainless Steel Lower Door Hinge Brackets for 76-06 Jeep CJ & Wrangler YJ, TJ, Unlimited
These are the ideal replacement. They are a quality metal that covers the existing space left from the old brackets with room to spare. The replacement hardware fits perfectly. I highly recommend if you are plan on replacing OEM. Nothing bad to say about them.
Fit good but paint chipped easily!
Looks great. They do make a difference and as I just had a new paint job done, these products stand out exceptionally well.
Hinge works, however, it is not the same quality as an original hinge. This hinge does not have a recessed bolt head. This hinge metal is thinner than the original, therefore you won’t be able to modify it to match the recessed bolt.
We purchased these for our jeep back in September or October. The screws they sent with them are made from a very soft metal so watch out when tightening them. The reason for the 3 stars is they have been on for 5 - 6 months and the paint is flaking off. we also purchased the windshield hinge set and the same thing is happening to them. If I was to do this project again, I would look into a different brand.
I ordered this along with a full hood set and windshield hinges for my 95 Wrangler, all in black stainless. I have to give all of it a very low review score based on the cheap quality compared to the factory stuff. Everything is made of a thinner material, and uses button head screws to install instead of the factory countersink screws. The main problem with this is that there is now a bolt head in the way of taking the door on and off, therefore you cannot remove the doors without unbolting the hinges from the body. Also the hinge pins themselves for both the windshield and hood hinges are extremely loose and now flop around instead of being tight. In the end, I sanded down all the factory pieces, and painted them in a satin black for a much better product.
Does not fit my YJ
