Reviews for Rugged Ridge Rear Euro Tail Light Guards for 76-06 Jeep CJ and Wrangler YJ & TJ
Euro light guards look great. Pretty easy to install. Make sure you tighten them well or you will have grounding issues and they will be very dim. I purchased a little larger and longer screw. Use a metal washer to help with the grounding issue.
By any chance what size screw/ bolt
did y’all put. Mine don’t fit either
The quality and finish of the guard is great but the supplied screws don’t flipping fit!! And the stock screws are too short. Stupid and unnecessary failure in my opinion
Really wanted to give 5 stars because the quality of this product matches my expectations and they look great, but the included bolts are not as good as the original bolts in size (not all fit correctly - the length is fine but not the width). I managed to make them work with some plumber's tape wrapped around them, which I shouldn't have to do since they're new, and this is the first time these tail-lights have been off this 1998 TJ.
Supplied bolts are too small. This has been a problem with Rugged Ridge tail light protectors for a couple of years, read the previous reviews.
How long before they get this right? The last thing I want to do is drive to town and get more bolts, but have no choice.
Rugged ridge taillight guards good quality but are not designed to fit led taillights had to cut top guards to be able to install taillight lenses.
These do not fit a 1995 YJ very well. The back of the guard has a bend to fit the curve of the quarter panel but it does not match the curve very well. Otherwise the install was simple and they look good. See my photos above.
Look nice...BUT...absolutely TERRIBLE design in every possible way. They don't tell you there is a left and right plate (bend) and they do not provide needed bolts. Stock bolts are not long enough. Unnecessarily PITA installation. After installing these things, a simple bulb change is going to be a difficult job. These are going in the dumpster.
