Reviews for Classic Tube JE1030SS Power Disc Brake Tubing for 87-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ
Stainless steel
Definitely worth the money replaced all the brake lines in my 89 Jeep. All the bands were perfect match.
Loved these lines. Easy the manipulate around tight spaces and all of the ends threaded right into where they were supposed to even with parts coming from various manufacturers.
Awesome product! All the correct bends and fittings.
Used this brake line kit in a 90 Jeep Wrangler YJ. It replaces all the brake lines and is a direct replacement with all the bends and lengths as OEM. Really easy to replace the front and rear brake lines. The hardest line to replace was the longest one from the master cylinder to the rear drivers side wheel that goes along the frame. It was hard because your trying to retract the old one and fit the new one in with existing fuel lines that go along the frame as well. Also recommend using a line wrench so as not to strip the fittings as I did on the old set. Overall, set looks great and of great quality.
Nice tubing set but did not have the bends in proper place had to re-bend these to make fit on frame
For the most part pretty good. I gave it one star because two of the flares would not seat. I ruined two proportioning valves, the original and one I got for free trying to make this work and being as careful as possible, and not over tightening except at after numerous attempts and re-flaring the fittings several times. I will have to buy an expensive lapping tool to fix them or else buy more tubing. I highly recommend you buy your own stainless steel lines, and a tube bender and do it yourself, with the old ones as a pattern. While I'm glad I replaced all the lines, it turned out only one was in bad shape--the one under the Jeep running to the back.
I will also be asking for replacements for these two lines. For the price paid for this, they should have used better tools to form the flares.
Bottom line, this job, while it seems like a good idea, in reality could cost you hundreds of dollars more in tools, replacement tubing, flaring kits, and lapping tools.
