Great product. Fits great and works great. I wish the padded arm rest was longer or more forward so more of my arm could rest on it. I needed lockable storage for my 06 LJ and this woks great.

Can be a bit tricky getting it into place but it will fit eventually. Hardest part for me was the two Philips screws connecting the two pieces didn’t want to line up. All in all good buy. No ragrets

Massive upgrade over my half factory console and no arm rest or storage. Sturdy. Gets compliments. Took longer to install than anticipated but I think that was because I wanted to keep my carpet in.

Excellent product, fits perfectly in my 03 TJ! Also, I contacted Tuffy because of a defective part (most likely caused by myself during installation), and they immediately shipped a replacement part for free, no questions asked. Aesome customer service, I will be back for more!

This is an awesome product! If your looking for heavy duty, look no more. The install is a little tough getting everything to line up correctly, I had a hard time connecting the forward piece with the storage compartment. The connecting screws are pretty tough to get to. Since installing it, I haven't had any problems with it!

Great once you get it put in... but that takes a little finesse.

Maybe I'm just not "gear headed" enough, but I can't call this a 'drop-in' replacement, hence the 4 stars. Yeah, I get it, it has to fit multiple models, but still....

Anyway, the console itself is robust and beefy. God forbid I get in an accident with this thing in, because it'll break bones. LOL It locks, solidly. I am certain it's going to fill it's primary role....securing my GPS, stereo, and firearms. It also looks pretty good. Very industrial, but good.

Now, installing it was fairly easy. I am by no means a gear head, but for the most part the instructions were pretty straightforward. I knew I was going to have to drill some holes. But imagine my surprise when what looked the obvious two holes to drill (even after dry fitting) turned out to not be aligned. And the tab up by the shift column was a good 1/4" off of the console. I loosely screwed in that one, using the factory screw, and loosely screwed in the one in the cup holder. Even with that slack, I had to work to put the shift cover on. That little red plastic bit that shows what gear you're in now edges over into the alpha/numeric column a little. The column doesn't bind though, so I'm rolling with it. I tightened those two down, redrilled the hole inside the main compartment, and tightened it down.

Next thing is the plate that holds the shifter cover in place. It used 4 small screws. The back ones, by the bottom of the dash, were hard to put in and I stripped the head off one when I overtightened it. They're also silver, which looks kinda crappy with all the black. On the passenger side, the front of the console melds nicely with the floorpan, but on the driver's, it clearly has a gap between the bottom of the assembly and the floorpan. The foam ears in the cupholders seems flimsy and the bolt sticks up in the cupholder area seems like it'll cause either 1) a lot of rattling with a coffee tumbler, or 2) possibly tear open a styrofoam cup.

I bought some neoprene squares with adhesive on the bottom in the cupholders. I'm also going to try to line the interior compartment with it to prevent rattling. Some other suggestions (if Tuffy is listening)....

1) recess the places where bolts go, especially in the cupholder areas.
2) offer a laser-cut pad kit, to line the interior compartments and cupholders.
3) find a better way to secure the shift cover.
4) blackened hardware

Anyway, it's still a pretty decent product, but there is a little room for improvement.
