My bumper-mounted winch is great but it has limits. My XJ needs to be running to provide power and the extraction direction needs to be forward. The Hi-Lift off-road winching kit is a must have for those situations when a powered winch cannot be used. It takes a bit more work to setup and use, (as with any Hi-Lift use) an eye for safety and is slower than a powered winch. But if you already have a Hi-Lift (you do, don't you?), this is a must-have accessory.
