Fits perfectly and turned my intermittent working headlights into fully working headlights.

Easy to install . Disconnect battery is a must . The rheostat terminal is live with the ignition off so don’t plug new switch with live harness connector to avoid arc that may cause short and damage new switch . After reconnecting battery , my dash lights now work . Happy again ! Correct fit for my 1980 CJ5 . Nice price !

Perfect fit on my CJ-7. I think I have a newer upgraded wiring harness though so I didn't need to modify the switch at all like others have said. If you have any trouble inserting the knob and shaft, the knob needs to be turned all the way clockwise to get into the latch. You also need to depress the button on the bottom if you want to remove it. Super simple install.
