Reviews for Truck-Lite 55003 5" x 7" Rectangle LED Headlight Kit by Rigid Industries for 84-01 Jeep Wrangler YJ, Cherokee XJ and Comanche MJ
These LED Headlights are a big improvement over oem type. With the improvement in lighting they are worth the cost.
Outstanding lights.
Installed them in ten minutes, WAY heavier construction than what I was expecting, and the quality looks great. Haven’t tried them at night yet but the test in the garage was impressive.
Been waiting to pick up a set of these when they were on sale. Turns out they are worth the full price. Good color, nice cut off, and way brighter than previous “upgrade”. Sales person at Quadratec made this purchase a pleasure and shipping was fast. These go well with and are nicely complemented by the 3” spots installed at the same time.

Simply perfect for the xj
Comparing these lights to stock is like comparing T-bone steak to roadkill. You might be able to survive with either, but which do you prefer? The amount of light is amazing, with a powerful and modern beam that compares well with most new vehicles. Even though things would be even better if the light beam extended a little further at 2 and 10 o'clock, in my opinion they are well worth the money, and make night driving much safer. Not only are they leagues better than stock, they are also leagues better than the Hella's that I had installed previously, which were good lights themselves.
I bought and installed these a couple years ago. An extremely easy upgrade that makes a huge difference. Super bright when they're on and look good when they are off.
Bright and very strong and built
So far so good. Very bright and super easy to install.
These look awesome when installed. The only problem is apparently if you have a ‘97 to ‘01 XJ the factory wiring in the XJ was done in such a manner that it causes the driver side light to not illuminate on the bottom half and also causes the other working parts of the lights to operate on permanent brights only.
I discovered this only after researching this problem on some Jeep forums. There is a noted fix that can be done with the wiring but I am not good with automotive wiring so I’ll have to get assistance with this from someone who knows what they are doing.
They look so nice I’ll probably keep them and just pay to have this fix done, but I wish I would have know this problem going in to this purchase.
