Reviews for VersaHitch Bike Rack for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Great rack and product, but it won't support an electric bike.
Incredibly well made, solid and stable. Holds two adult sized bikes comfortably, but any more than three may be a squeeze. Drove about 60km on my first trip with them over rough and smooth roads, held everything on nicely without the bikes moving much at all.
Folding it up and down is pretty easy for one person, though once one or more bikes are loaded it is not possible to lower the rack all the way. Which makes accessing the rear cargo area difficult.
I've had this for a few years now and it's the best bike rack I've owned. Having two hitch points really secures the bikes in the rear, there is no swaying or wobbling at all. Attaching and removing it is very quick w/socket wrench. It moves out of the way enough to clear the rear tailgate when you need to access the back. Four bikes will fit with a little wiggling! You never have to worry about any extra weight on the tire carrier with this mounted at the hitch. Wiring harness is a breeze to plug in, and overall this has held up incredible for me. Well worth it! It will obviously diminish any entry/exit clearance in the rear if you leave it on.
Easy to bolt on. Nice to be able to tow a trailer while still being able to use a bike rack.
Well built rack. Very sturdy. The bikes move with the motion of the Jeep and don't sway like most other racks.
It seems to be designed to stay on the jeep. Very heavy duty! I'm pretty sure it could hold a motorcycle, and not just 4 bicycles!
Best rack I have found. Customizable, is able to tow my surly big dummy no problem!
I may take a saw to it to convert it into a 2 bike carrier.
When it's down and it rains, it seems to some how suck rain up into the tubes at the reflector could use some caulk or sealer there.
Bike rack folds down in order for you to access back gate. Very easy to put together.
Best bike hitch I have ever had. Easy to install, very sturdy. Putting my kid's bikes on it is a little tight (anything under a 20" street bike) because of their small frames, but it can be done.
Great! I can finally pile on 4 bikes in a rack and not shoved into the trunk space. I love it and it looks great
Easy to install. Beginning to show rust after 2+ years.
