Reviews for Quadratec Hi Performance 4" Round LED Light Kit for 10-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
these lights are really very awesome. the light output is tremendous and I love the design and finish of them. they are exactly what I wanted and I love them.
Worked well mounting on the Smittybilt Gen2 bumper. Provided good additional lighting. Easy to mount.
Blinding Bright!
Wiring these up to replace the fog lights was a piece of cake. Adjusting them is a little tricky, because when you tighten down the mounting bolt the light likes to turn with it. However, these put off so much light that it almost doesn't matter where you aim them. Too bad they're not street legal because they are waaaaayyy brighter than headlights.
I don't even just my high beams anymore, great spread and depth
Excellent light output with a great pattern. I bought these with the flood pattern to use as fog lights on my aftermarket bumper. After aiming them properly and installed the Amber covers they also sell for them, these lights make the foggy morning drives in Pennsylvania much easier. They bolt right on and the included harness makes the process 10x simpler. Price is well below the other manufacturers, yet the quality of the product is very apparent by the construction. Only gripe about these is the fact the swivels that adjust the light up or down don't have any notches in them to hold the light in place, when aiming them you need to aim them further up to account for the wrench pulling them down when tightening. Other than that, these things are great.
I waited 3 1/2 months for these lights. They do exactly what they're supposed to. The bracket is a really neat, a well-engineered pain in the butt. They adjust for various widths of lamps, and IF you tighten up the brackets before you install the lamps, you won't be the right width at all. Additionally, the bolt head recesses into the bracket, which means you can't tighten them from the top unless you're willing to mask up some channel locks and grab the whole bracket. I was going to use a stainless fender washer to elevate the head, but there's no clearance under the lamp for that. Great lights, but not too sure about the bracket. They'll do until I find a LED version of a 4509 Lamp.
The ease of the install was ridiculously easy. The the wire into the adapter, the adapter into the factory fog light harness. Done. The “hardest” part was figuring out how and where I wanted to mount the lights on my bumper and hiding the wires. Checked the factory fog light switch to make sure it worked. It did. 5 minutes to install tops. Time will tell how well they hold up.
Easy install, excellent light output too much for street use actually, I have a stock radio and I do get significant FM noise when they are switched on. Doing a little research it seems this is a risk you take with economical LED lamps. Some can be fixed with ferrite choke collars or choke tubes, some can't. I will unplug one at a time to see if the cause is one lamp or the other. If it is both I may keep them anyway as auxiliary lighting. But this make me think a bit about headlight lighting LED conversion problems if I go that route.
