Reviews for Teraflex 3442002 Heavy Duty Ball Joint Set without Knurling for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
So far so good! Replaced my prematurely failed moogs with these bad boys. Took away my shakey wheel and death wobble. Goes straight as an arrow no vibrations other than tires. Jku 3.5” lift 35s with synergy draglink flip and tierod bar steers and handles excellent great product. Nice and tight. Hopefully adjustability is easy down the road!
New design, easy greaseable and fits perfectly. Lifetime guarantee.
Great warranty and great reputation.
My toughest install. If you do not have a ball joint compressor tool I do not recommend doing these yourself have a shop with the proper tools install them.
I had the infamous "death wobble" and thoroughly researched all probable causes.
Through all the research that i have performed i have narrowed the probable causes to 3 areas, the ball joints, steering linkages, and stabilizer. Considering my 2008 JK had 106,000 miles i wanted to ensure i bought a quality product with a lifetime warranty that i can re-grease, which lead me to Teraflex. The instructional videos in both Quadratec and Teraflex were superb, which added a great visual for reference. This is a must have for those JKs over 100,000 miles, it's worth it. Although I am raving about it I gave it a 4-star because one of the grease fitting holes was deformed and the grease fitting head could not screw into it. I did not return it as i was pressed for time and needed to complete the Ball Joint swap, as a result I was able to re-tap it and and inserted the head. The end result was the perfect as i have a bullet proof item and my death wobble has disappeared.
These fit incredibly tight in my 2010 Wrangler. I hope I never have to replace them because getting them out would suck! So far, the Jeep feels much better than before.
I had 100k on my mopar ball joints with 35’s, so they were ready to go. These are beefy and seem great. I’ve had them in for 5000 miles and I’ve already had to adjust them down a half an inch. At this rate I hope they’ll last another 5000 miles. Teraflex seems to make stuff that just doesn’t last.
Not impressed. Hopefully these ball joints will stand up to the oversized tires. The lower joints are not easily accessible to grease. A tiny set screw has to be removed and a grease zerk with extension temporarily installed to grease. Then the tiny set screw reinstalled. That should be disclosed prior to purchase. Also, no instructions on the "adjustability" of the lower joints either.
Don’t waste your time. Running 35s, no hard driving/wheeling and need to be replaced already after only about 4,000 miles…
