The original stock carb has been poor on performance, gas mileage and starting. This carb promises to improve all.

Buddy has one on his CJ8. I have one as well. Mine has several issues an I felt starting new would be a time saver and keep me from chasing more ghosts!

Did not even have to adjust it for my 4.2l. Worked beautifully. Download the instructions from quadratec because the instructions in the box are universal.

World of difference. I bought this to replace the old Carter carb on my '81 CJ7, wish I had done it sooner. It runs so much better. Very easy straight forward install. First time ever installing a carb, did it myself in my garage in about 90 minutes. Highly recommend!

good carb for a 258 but you will need to run a pressure regulator
