Reviews for Crown Automotive J5356651 Fuel Tank Strap for 70-95 Jeep CJ Series & Wrangler YJ

The strap fit with the MTS 15 gallon tank and OEM skid plate. I used a die to cut about a 1/2" of thread into the stud at the end and was able to lock it down no problem.

The previous reviews were spot on. The straps fit perfectly with the one issue of being to long which was easily corrected with spacers around the bolts.

Worked well. Needed to use some cork tape to build up the gap between the tank and the strap to really cinch things up though

Good fit

Straps were just a little long, ran out of threads on the tightening end. Other wise they were good.

About 4 inches too long for my 86 CJ7 with a plastic gas tank. I believe it is a 20 gallon.

Fit well and is holding up

This strap is designed to fit curvature of the fuel tank and use OEM attach points at both ends which is why I chose it. However, it is about 2 inches too long for the 15 gal polyethylene gas tank. I had it shortened and rewelded and it then fit perfectly.

Strap fit great. However, as I was tightening down the nut(which does not come with the strap) the bolt sheared in half. Very weak.

Agreed with Larry, these straps are too long for the 20 gal tank, by inches but I'd have to cut it to be able to use it.
