its a bit long for the CJ5... would be perfect for the CJ7

Mostly fits but not like in the photo. Doens't go far enough over the edges of the windshield frame for the snaps to work and it hangs way off the back of the rollbar on my CJ5. But it's not meant in my mind to be an exact fit. For what you need it to do it'll work.

I was optimistic and hope this was going to fit well but I ran into the same issue that Paul D ran into on his 1979 Jeep CJ5 and the top is two narrow for the windshield by at least two inches. The snaps actually hit the channel. Others have complained that the length was too long but the length on mine was perfect.The only option I have is to possibly cut the channel so I would be able to drill the holes for the snaps. The only thing I can think of is possibly my windshield channel not being a Bestop and this one is wider than the Bestop channel. Just make sure you order a Bestop windshield channel not that it's going to be a guarantee to fit.

Does not fit a 79 CJ5. Has to be almost 2 inches narrow. Cost to ship back almost as much as cost of item so I am stuck with it. Very disappointed.
