Reviews for Dirtydog 4X4 Front Seat Pet Divider for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Easy install, perfect fit
Does the job well. Helps with those extra large grocery orders too.
Love it. Keeps the dogs and their dirt and slobber off of my front seats. I can bring them with and not have to worry about them jumping on me while driving.
The fit, stitching and materials are top quality. Installation instruction is precise and easy to follow.... the dogs stay put.
This is perfect. Fits well behind the front seat and keeps our Lab in the back and off the upholstery.
My 70 lbs dog hates it.
I love it.
Keeps him in the back and off the gear shift (standard transmission).
Great safety feature for me.
Installs in minutes and strong enough for two GSDs. Works for me!
Easy to install. It’s just hard to see using the rear view mirror thru the divider
Better than nothing. But that is about all I can say on a positive note.
The divider severely impacts your ability to move the seat back. I am one of those guys who slide the seat all the way back and recline when I drive.
My 50 or so pound lab gets her head stuck in the webbing then jams her paws in the net a bit lower. She gets super worked up and pulls at the thing 'till the buckles give way. Just a matter of time before she decides to chew it.
I am thinking of sewing or clipping a finer netting, maybe a plastic chicken or privacy netting in the thing. This should slow her down a bit.
My other dog is an older beagle. She just looks at it and sits in the back where she belongs.
So I guess a lot depends on your dog. If he or she wants out this will provide minimal security. In a Jeep with no top or doors rolling down a secondary road in NH at 50 miles and hour it can become a bit of a scary situation when my lab decides it is time to go chase the bike, bird, or burger smell we just passed.
I had very high hopes for this product but, unfortunately, they were not to be realized. First of all, as with most Jeep aftermarket products these days it seems, the instructions were vague and poorly illustrated. Second, the product is poorly designed and thus, doesn't fit well at all. Third, while the net or webbing material may be heavy duty, the cheap, thin and brittle plastic buckles are anything but heavy duty. Just pulling the strap through one of them caused it to split in half. And this was before there was even any tension on the strap! I immediately removed the product from my Jeep, tossed it (and thus my $150 bucks) in the garbage and re-installed my homemade pet-net barrier, which cost me about $20 in materials. Works way better.
