Reviews for Dirtydog 4X4 Rear Netting for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 Door
I really like this product. Looks great. Keeps inside things in, and outside things out when the top is off. Doesn't hamper putting the soft top up. Takes some time to put on, and take off, but really no need to remove it for me. Very happy with this purchase.
I can't say enough positive reviews about Quadratec and the great quality of the products on their site! I purchased the Dirtydog 4x4 Rear Netting for my 2017 Wrangler to allow my two labs to ride in the back (with the backseat removed). Awesome product! Thank you, Quadratec (and Dirtydog).
Easy install and very well made. I used some 6" zip ties to keep the excess straps from blowing in the breeze. The dogs have seat belts but I like the extra security to keep them in. If you don't have a soft top be sure to order the rear brackets (part #'s 55395760AE & 55395761AE) as you will need them for install.
It is a bit pricey for what seems like a bunch of straps and buckles, but this is very well put together. The fit is great and can really be dialed in to get the straps tight and looking good. Extra strap can be folded and wrapped in electrical tape to make it even cleaner of an install.
Looks like this shoul meet my needs
I bought this for my 2 dogs (60lb boxer and 165lb St. Bernard) and it works great. Webbing is thick and durable. Might not be best for smaller dogs because there is some spacing at the lower net over the rear wheels that a small dog or puppy could fit through. I had to use some bungee cords to tighten it down and close the gap but everything else is great!
Save yourself a ton of time and ignore the directions. They are for the 4 door and completely useless. Download the image in The product info here at Quadratec and use that as a guide. Other than that nice quality, functional (no more random things flying out of the Jeep) and looks cool.
Reasonably pleased with this product. High quality straps and buckles, well designed and made, looks like it will do the job I need which is keep my dog from jumping or falling out of my JK.
I knocked off a star for a couple of reasons. As another reviewer noted, the instructions are poor . You know you're in for a ride when the mfr misspells "from," lol. To their credit, Dirty Dog has lots of installation videos on their website. Unfortunately, this particular netting for a 2-door JK isn't one of them.
And it would have been nice if DD had included pins to deal with the extra straps.
Instructions are severely lacking. I am not sure if I have it on correctly, not to mention after putting it all together the last piece that goes on is a bar at the back end that can only be attached with clips that are sold separately. Really frustrating I dont know why you would sell an full kit??? I have been looking for better instructions online but have yet to find any.
