Reviews for ARB Modular Rear Bumper for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited JK
Had it professionally installed. Heavy duty bumper and quality shipping!
Great packaging and the bumper arrived without a flaw or mark. The instructions were a bit vague but it's really not difficult to install the bumper. Something to note, on my 2015 Wrangler Unlimited, the driver side frame holes didn't exactly line up with the bumper mounting brackets. And the passenger side frame was not drilled. Both potential issues were noted in the ARB instruction pamphlet. The bumper is a bit expensive compared to other aftermarket bumpers but the the ARB bumper quality is flawless. Overvall, I believe this bumper is a fair value and would purchase it again.
Excellent quality! Fit and install went perfect, I love the quality of this bumper and it feel super strong.
Great bumper! Very well made. Best packaging I've ever seen. Some drilling is recommended for instillation on passenger side. Isn't required I guess. I didn't drill into my frame just in case I jeep got wind and tried to void my 100k bumper to bumper warranty. Still has two strong bolts holding it mounted.
The bumper itself is as advertised. Less than three years old and is rusting delaminating badly. Installed at the same time an ARB front bull bumper with no such issues. Bad enough with a $600 install but dealing with ARB on warranty has been an absolute dumpster fire. To sand and refinish $400-800. Plus install. A real disappointment especially considering how ARB touts its special coating process.
Expensive for what it is, I had to buy it to match my front bumper. Looks great, but there is definitely a little lip around the bottom of the body above the bumper that is no longer covered by the bumper.
Install kind of sucked too on a 2017 Willys JK. I had to drill passenger side holes, and I recommend tightening the bumper down BEFORE making those marks, or else you'll end up like me with holes that look like an 8 year old did them.
Also, there are retention nuts that slide inside the frame to bolt to - the orientation of the "clip" matters because if you really torque it, they'll back out of the guide. With 5(?) connection points to the frame per side though, having one back out probably isn't the end of the world.
The bumper is great, but unless I am missing something...my 35in Duratrac does not fit with this bumper as the tire hits the recessed area and causes it to stick out too far to bolt down. The quality is awesome on this thing though.
