Installed yesterday. I may be a Luddite but would have preferred printed instructions to DVD. Found ourselves having to go into house to review the next step.

Happy with the performance, but agree with other review that the instructions suck! Neither the printed instructions or the video corelate to a CJ. But figured it out and it works as advertised. You do have to play with the cables a bit to get it to raise the top level.

Appears easy to install but too soon to say for sure. Reviewers noted that instructional info was not very helpful. Looks like it works well when installed.

The instructional DVD is pretty much worthless- thank goodness for You Tube. I watched the YouTube installation video and it got installed without a lot of grief. Make sure to have two people there, as you can't hold up the winch and position it onto the bracket by yourself. After that you can do it yourself. I installed it on the wall of a 9' high garage- plan on damaging your drywall where the motor attaches, but if you plan on leaving this up for quite a while it's no big deal. It takes the top high enough that it is really out of the way. I' 5'10" and can walk under it if I'm careful. Can't wait for next fall to see how easy it will be to re-install the hard top.

This thing is great! Unfortunately, the instructions are miserable at best. They’re marked to be for a cj/tj/yj but all the diagrams and instructions are for a JK wirh a couple parenthetical statements and that say (this won’t apply to you because it’s for a JK. The project would have taken 30 minutes if I didn’t have to spend two days deciphering the instructions.

The PRODUCT is awesome.
